I. About

My background

Sydney basedΒ Cameraman, Photographer, Avid Media Composer & Final Cut Pro Editor certified.

Started as a photogrammetristΒ in 2005 for the NSW Police Force which helped shape my career, which I am grateful for. I was fortunate to work with many camera’s in still work and video. In that time purchased the Canon 5D as a personal of kit to hone my skills.

Multi-media Expert for Forensic Imaging with the role to attend major crime scenes including homicides, critical incidents, sexual assaults and any high profile circumstance.

Crime Scene recording in high definition video (HDV), Camera Operator Editor in FCP Final Cut Pro and AVID Express Pro HD, CCTV Closed Circuit TV analyst/Editor.

My experience

Experience was spent in the field working difficult conditions in photogrammetry, surveying and crime scenes and the rest of the time processing the captured content in the office SPC. Totalling hundreds of hours record time that included many interview recordings on the Canon XL2, Sony Z1 and A1 series camera’s.Β

Crime Scenes experiences include the capturing of many of the worst scenes in the history of NSW Policing.

Double Murder South Maroota Ian & Anne Hughes, Facebook Murder, Murder of nurse Michele Beets, Double Murder Nick and Chloe Waterlow, Double Murders by Da-Dra Sydney, Murdered Prostitute by neurosurgeon Elizabeth Bay, Murdered school teacher Amanda Carter and many others.

My vision

To become a director of photography with focus on building a knowledge base on video techniques and a range of looks from various lenses and camera’s.

Currently tinkering on small project investigating the performance of vintage Canon FD lenses. This is a rediscovery of quality and performance on the FD mount lenses that were discarded by many with the introduction of the EF mount Canon lenses that are widely used today in the photographic and cine world.

Other projects in the works include a cinematography type photography assignment with mirrorless cameras and anamorphic lens setup.Β

Consider myself Β a “no holds barred” reviewer on testing cameras and real thoughts on what camera manufacturers produce.

Offering training to people interested in photography & videography with one on one dedicated workshops.Β
